RIP Man On Fire

I'm sure many on here can relate to her loss, but Louise's blog on Horse Hero is heartbreaking.

A stunning horse. Run free Alfie.

I can't believe that her horse was obviously extremely ill and she continued to compete and kept Alfie at the show all that time. I know it would not have changed the outcome but whats more important, your horses life or a rosette!

She actually asked if there was a vet on site while she was in the ring who knows how we would react to such a senario while competing, she loves her horses and I think your ad lib statement about the rosette when you obviously don't know louise is wrong.

I suggest that you read Louises blog on horsehero before commenting as you have. I dont know her at all but I'm sticking up for her actions as I read the aforementioned blog. She wanted to go home immediately!

I know louise very well and she would never put a horse in a situation that had its life at risk. Alfie was jumping amazingly in the few weeks previous, when she worked him in, she noticed that something was wrong and tried to find a vet and decided against competing him, she didnt know that he was going to get toxic shock only a few miles from her home..!
