BumbleBee Dazzler

I just picked up my Horse and Hound today and read the sad news that Midnight Dazzler - Bobby, passed away at the beginning of July.
I remember watching a vet's inspection at either Badminton or Burghley and Bobby came out and ears pricked, literally floated down the track. I've never before or since heard a crowd fall in love quite so much with a horse at an inspection. You could tell he was loving every minute of showing the crowd how handsome and special he was.
From that moment I was hooked and followed his eventing career with Harry Meade. Watching the dressage was always interesting and where he often liked to show he was boss! But then the cross country - always a joy to watch Bobby and Harry flow across the country. So many times ending on his dressage score.
There have been so many special horses over the years, from legends of sport, to heroes in service, to special pets. I know there will be people at his old yard, and his owners, who will miss him more, but I wanted to add my voice to those that will miss this truly beautiful and characterful horse. For me, eventing won't quite be the same again.
RIP Bobby
