Darling little Milly was PTS this morning, which I thought I was all cool about it, but have in fact been blubbing like a baby.
She was shiny and energetic and happy, which is a blessing for her but made it harder as it seemed unnecessary, but she could hardly move. This time last year Charlie was having races on her with Will and she was charging round the field full of life, this year I don't think I've see her canter at all.

She really was the most wonderful pony, of indeterminate age - but probs over 30. She came from the Croome and W Warwcks, where she had no doubt taught lots of lucky children to ride and she did the same for my boys. She hadn't a nasty bone in her body, and could be completely trusted to look after her children.

Her most amusing trait was stealing sweets and food at shows, and she would go and stand at the pick & mix stand at shows all day if she could - begging. There were many ocassions where I would wrestle a bacon butty out of her mouth whilst apologising the bystander who had had ther lunch stolen from their hands....

She was a little star, and will be sadly missed....

RIP dear kind Milly.
You did a grand job & there are never enough of your lovely sort to go round,
Hopefully there will be all the pick 'n' mix & bacon butties you can handle in horsey heaven!
xxxx
