Horrible phone call this morning from stud to whom I loaned my 10yo Welsh A mare. She had an accident in the field, I don't know exactly what happened but think she may have drowned after escaping from field.

Misty was my first foal and I must admit I probably spoilt her just a bit! She was called Misty as I thought she would be grey, just like her mum and dad but she didn't change her coat as I expected and she remained black, with sabino markings.

She had a great pedigree, including Pendock Legend as a grandsire and lots of Revel.

I bred a foal from her in 2007 and I don't know where he got his colour from? Very striking pony with many of his mum's characteristics, eg, he's a great escape artist - just like mum he goes to the field he wants to be in, either over, under or through the fencing! I sold him last year but bought him back a few weeks later when new owners had personal problems. So glad I did! Not for sale now!

Ziggy will always remind me of Misty and I am missing her very much at this moment. Lots of tears have been shed today.
