Hi all
Many of you have been sympathetically following my horse dilemma over the past year. I have a lovely 14.1 NF gelding who I have outgrown in every way. At 29, it took me a year to get up the courage and trust to let someone else have him on loan. It then took me another year to save up concertedly to buy a new horse and project. This was her. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s230/Ashurstfella/DSCN0402_copy.jpg
I took her home on 1st april and yesterday afternoon, she collapsed and died of a brain anneurism. One second she was lunging in the school, just in walk, the next, she had flipped all the way over, and I knew I was losing her. Just like that. The vets were wonderful, arrived within minutes, and it was all over very quickly.
This message is to say thank you to this horse for a wonderful, if blurred two weeks, and to say to you all, live for the day because tomoro could just take it all away from you.
Because this is classified as an illness and was within 14 days of the start of my policy, the Insurance company have told me I cannot claim. I have lost a beautiful mare, all my savings, and just feel so low. To you all, good luck with your horses, and live for today.
