not many of you on here no my horse connor, he was one of the best horses in the world and never put a foot wrong. however my fried yesterday was getting her horses in from the field he wandered over to wait for his turn to come in, suddenly he reared up and fell on his back legs and fell on the floor and he died
we dont yet know what happened to him but we think it was a heart attack which caused severe internal bleeding however we are waiting for the results from the postmortom which happened today.
he was the best horse in the world and it was so crul that he has tacken from us when he was so young (5). we are compleatly devistated by what happend as he was such a young fit and healthy boy who has never been ill.
we have only owned him since april however they were the best few months in my life, i bonded with connor from the first moment i met him and he taught me so much. i have never trusted anyone or anything so much as i trusted him, he was always there for me no matter what happened.
i had so many planes for him, we were planning on tacking him british eventing at the end of next year. and tacking him dressage throught the winter.
we are moving house on sunday to a place where we could keep him at home.
he enjoyed life so much and took to hunting and cross country like a pro that had been doing it for years. however we still had our little problems on the hunting field when he lost a shoe both times we took him and on the second time he fell over on top of me.
we had a great week at pony club camp where he came on so much especially with the jumping.
i am going to miss him so much and words cannot describe the partnership that we had together.

Sleep tight Connor and run free over the bridge. Such a shock for you but he was loved and knew it.

Life can be unfair sometimes x

I was so shocked to hear this tragic news yesterday. It is devastating to lose any horse but Connor was truly one of the special ones and his lovely honest attitude to life belied his young age. It must have been a terrible shock to you with it coming totally out of the blue like that, and horrible to have your dreams shattered so cruelly when he was going so well and showing so much promise.

RIP Connor.

I'm so sorry. He sounded such a poppet. How utterly devastating for you.

My girls lost their pony a few weeks ago, so we can all sympathise with how you're feeling, especially the shock.

He was definitely taken far too young and so cruelly. I suppose the only saving grace is that this didn't happen with you on board.

Hugs sweetie.

thanks everyone.
TGM you were one of the few luckly people that knew connor, you saw him grow into himself and find his real strengths at cross country.
its such a shock i still cannot belive it is happening. i woke up this morning and was halway through getting dressed to go down the yard when i remebered what had happened.
i never through i would be looking for anouther horse after connor, i have recently been looking for one but only to keep connor company when we move house.
i ner through i would be looking for anouther horse that would take the empty space connor has left in my life. he will always be in my heart and i will never be able to forget what a truly amazing horse he was.

So sorry to hear of your dreadful loss. Something very similar happened to my three year old. Hopefully with time you will take solace from knowing what happened and the knowledge that he did not suffer.

How totally devastating. No words from me can do anything to make it right but I am thinking of you. I'm absolutely certain he didn't suffer, and I'm so sorry he left you before you had the all fun he promised to give.

R.I.P. Connor x
