I wonder how many younger people would believe that HOYS show jumping took over the BBC1 schedules every night for a week?

Yes a very sad loss and only known to so many of us because we used to get great show jumping on the BBC.

as kid i lived next door to the the stables where forgie lived, we used to buy horses from forgies owner fred hartill

when forgie retired, i think he was 18, he was visited by lots of folk at hartills as an equine celebrity
