(I know this is prob the wrong place to post this but there isn't a Bird section and this is the only place I post realy :o )

Pearl you were such a beautiful bird. I bought you to keep China company when she got lonely and you did your job so well. You were best friends right from the start. Although China was most deffinatly the boss. You didn't seem to mind and just got out her way if she was in one of her moods but when she was playing nice you would prean eachother and sit chatting away for hours.
A beautiful white budgie you were, with a purple tint. Not very friendly to handle though, but I know this was my fault. If I needed to catch you you would bite me till I let you go again. But I didn't mind. I loved you all the same.
I wish I knew what happened to you last night and I realy wish I could have done more to help you. But now you are gone and your pain is over.
China and I miss you very much. Most will probably think I'm strange getting upset over a bird but you weren't just any bird, you were my friend. You made me laugh and smile with your funny little ways. Esp when you would hang upside down from the roof of your cage. The funny places you choose to sleep at night. Blalancing on the millet sprey holder most nights.

Aw she was gorgeous :(
My budgies died just before xmas, just came home to find them both lying on the floor still have absolutely no idea what happened to them! They are such fragile little birds xx
 
Thankyou and I'm so sorry for your loss montyforever. xx They are such fragile birds arn't they.
I think Pearl pulled out one of her feathers and she bleedout :( I can't believe how much blood there was and it just wouldn't stop comming out :( China seems in shock now I hope she's going to be ok. I don't want to loose her to :(
 
She was beautiful, I'm sorry for your loss.

For what it's worth, I don't think you're strange for being upset over this. An animal may just be another animal to some people, but to the people that care for them they are often so much more, they are friends - and part of the family and as such it is only natural that you grieve for them when they leave you. Maybe I'm just a little bit too animal mad, but I'd think you were stranger if you weren't feeling upset right now :)

Thankyou laura_lor. She realy was one of our family. My animals mean so much to me and it was a shock to loose her like that. She was fine one minuet then covered in blood the next. It all happened so fast :(
 
What a beautiful budgie Pearl was. And no, I don't think you're strange getting upset over a bird. Whatever they are, dog, cat, budgie, whatever! They are all a part of the family, and you will feel their loss as much as anything. They all leave a gap in our lives.
RIP Pearl, fly high and free now xx
 
Oh Laura, what a terrible shock for you, and such a loss too, I know how much all your animals mean to you. I was really looking forward to meeting her and seeing for myself her unusual colouring.
My thoughts are with you, and I hope China will be ok . xx
 
I am so sorry. It must have been such a shock. She was very pretty. At least it was quick so she wouldn't have suffered for more than a few seconds at most xx
 
RIP Pearl, what a lovely girl. So unusual - and a right character by the sound of it. I bet you miss her lots.

That would worry me - have you had your heating appliances checked? Maybe they got a chill or something. I bet you miss them too.
