Just to update people who read my last thread our bullmastiff Red has just been pts at home. He went very peacefully, it is a relief to know he won't suffer anymore but he has left a huge hole in our hearts. RIP Red big fella, we love you xxx
 
I'm so sorry,sending hugs & thinking of you. I know your pain too well, lost my mare of a lifetime after 25 years together & her best friend on Oct 6th,then my pet sheep 3 weeks on..it does hurt but take comfort in your relief for your boy & remember the good times you shared. Hope you are in company tonight & able to have people around you. Sweet dreams Red xxx
 
I'm sorry for your loss.These huge dogs have equally big impact on our hearts..Its good that he went peacefully at home ,but must have been very hard on you.Hugs.

Given time, your humane and principled decisions will over take those sickening and numbing moments. It isn't easy, but its all part of our responsibilities, and you've faced yours.

You're a principled owner, and Red was a fortunate dog. Well done. Red is now at peace.

Sorry to hear that, I read about his plight on your other thread. You must be heartbroken but try and take some comfort that you did the very best for him. RIP big fella xx
