RIP Star...

Sitting here in shock tonight. Found out a couple of hours ago that a local horse died whilst out on a hack with a good friend of mine this afternoon.

Star was a beautiful bay mare, only 7 or 8 years old. Her owner was busy today so she'd asked my friend to take her with him and another girl (on his horse) to a local golf course that has a good gallop track. They were turning to head back when Star collapsed and died suddenly. Thankfully G was not hurt. We're all stunned as she was such a young horse, and cann only assume it was a heart attack.

So here's to a lovely young horse who had so much ahead of her. RIP Star.
