Really sad to hear of Steve Job's passing. The man truly was a visionary and changed the way we use technology whether you are an Apple fan or not.

He also provided one of my favourite quotes from his 2005 commencement address at Standford University, in which he reflected on life, career and mortality:

‎"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." Steve Jobs

RIP Steve - you really were a great man. x

‎"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful … that's what matters to me." Steve Jobs.
You certainly did something wonderful Steve, not many men can say they changed the world, but you truly changed the world of technology.

Vey sad loss though...one of a very small number of people on the planet with the ability and the will to change peoples lives for generations to come...even rarer for someone like that to come from the geeky world of IT :-(

Heard a speech of his on the news last night and was genuinely inspired by what he said...

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone elses life. Don't be trapped by Dogma, which is living with the results of other peoples thinking. Don't let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Steve Jobs 1955-2011

There are few, who in a global manner, have influenced the world as SJ has. A remarkable man.

As an aside, and more by way of an attached irony, than humour;

30 years ago, we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash and Steve Jobs;

now we have no hope, no cash and no jobs. :(

SJ was truly, a visionary, and a loss to our world. RIP.

Alec.
