I hope the police get to the bottom of what happened to you and that those involved pay dearly.

Just be careful everyone who you entrust to walk your dogs.

Have they been found dead now? I really hoped that all the publicity might have seen them released somewhere :(

The dogs have been confirmed deceased and the owners have been informed. Although the name of the dog walker in question is known and in the public domain there is a request that it is NOT splashed around everywhere at this moment in time in case (assuming this gets to court) the defence plead that the publicity will prevent a fair trial and it will lead to a diminished sentence. Apparently this has happened in the past.

Not heard of this at all before, which is odd since it’s not that far from me. Poor dogs ☹️☹️☹️

I had to have a quick search, how awful, my heart breaks for the owners.

I did also read that is was 6 dogs, the 5 and the walkers own dog too :(

thats horrible, even more so if they were left in a hot car. My worst nightmare!

I hope some getting to the bottom of this happens soon, the owners must be so upset.

Pity no one told the Daily Fail...big splash on the website today, full of contradictions, and left open for public comment. FFS.....

It's now been widely reported across all media outlets with the dogsitter in question, identified. This must be utterly heart breaking for the owners who searched in vain for days.

That is so very sad. From what I’ve seen of them I would never use a dog walking or day care set up.
What happened here is like a worst nightmare thing though.

I cant even begin to imagine how devastated these poor owners must be :(
I do remember a couple of years back a young friend and her partner announced they were setting themselves up as dog walkers and day care facilities..... they very quickly set up a very professional and reassuring looking website address that was spread all around the area they lived in. She assured me this would be their goldmine as they intended to undercut any other dog day care business in the area - easy money:eek:

Between them they owned two dogs, their first EVER dog ownership, they hadn't even grown up in a household with dogs. Their poor dogs were spoilt and untrained , unruly and totally without direction and boundaries. Often allowed off lead without even basic recall and lost for hours while they smiled and whistled their way ineffectually around the countryside trying to locate them.

I was just totally gobsmacked how many people actually started using them! Not sure who was more complicit in animal neglect, them or the owners who happily handed their poor mutts over to their care without any real background checks.

The one I know personally has had three pregnancies and untold numbers of fights, bad enough to require the vets.

I actually thought you meant the dog sitter had had babies then.... after a re-read I realised you meant she had let the dogs breed 😳😂

I do tell my dog sitter very often that she is worth her weight in gold (she comes to my house, no interaction with anyone else’s dogs, no taking them off my premises) and oh my goodness this proves me right yet again, I am so lucky....
