Absolutely in pieces for him and his owner, and without giving out too much info as he wasn't mine, but belonged to a friend on the same yard... her gorgeous and extremely talented boy was found in the field with the most horrific open fracture of his canon bone on Saturday, and put down immediately, not really any idea how he did it, she'd put so much work into him, he was the most talented and wonderfully natured and humerous horse I've had the pleasure of knowing, even for a reasonably short time... may you run free big fella... we'll all think of you often... your friends are lost wandering the field without you... and rugs and hoods may live to see anyother day xxxx

Thanks guys, I wouldn't even pretend to say I know how she feels, despite loosing my beloved girl, but the situation makes it so horrific... nobody knows how long he was there - although in reality it wouldn't have been long as to see him standing still for longer than a minute would be very unusual! He wore a hood every night, and every darn morning was wearing it a different way, over his eyes, ears out the eye holes, you name it he could do it... I think we're all numb...
