Had to have my/my Mums old GSD pts yesterday. She would have been 14 in January. I bred her and she lived with me until she was 8, then as Mum had lost her old GSD, Ushi went to live with her. They had 3 years together with Ushi being spoilt rotten, sleeping in the bedroom with Mum etc, then when Mum had to go into a care home Ushi came bck to live with me. Although a bit wobbly over the past year or so she was bright as a button until Friday morning when she was obviously not right, the light had gone out of her eyes and she didn't seem to know where she was. I made the sad decision that this was the end for her, and she went peacefully with lots of cuddles from the vet and I. Hopefully she and Mum (who died in May of this year) are now reunited at Rainbow Bridge.
