After finding a lovely little saddle out of ebay, Said person has just emailed me and said that the saddle is now sold .

First off , The saddle didnt make its reserve so I asked what their buy it now price was, got email saying what it was .... I then recieved an email offering second chance offer at the highest bid which was mine . So I decide to go for it and its accepted , I then email the seller requesting her postal address and method of payment and which she would prefer, . Didnt get an email until this morning saying .. " sorry saddle is now sold , I offered 3 other people second chance offers , hope you understand " .

No ???? I dont , Can you offer 4 people in total second chance offer after I got an email through saying Congratulation you have just bought this item ?? .

Been searching for the right saddle for ages and Im needing one before the 24th of april

According to her, She offered a buy it now price to 3 other bidders , but that was after she accepted my second chance offer . I would have been willing to take the saddle for the buy it now price but like I said she had already accepted my offer .

So peed off right now .

Ive emailed her asking to explain herself although whether I get a reply or not is another thing . I could ask ebay but what more can they do ? :confushed:
 
If it did not meet the reserve, then she can make a 2nd chance offer to the highest bidder. She can also make 2nd chance offers to the other bidders... but this is a loop hole in the eBay system.... it is incase someone has more than one of the item they are selling, say if the person had 4 items, they sell one for the highest price, they can then make 2nd chance offers to other bidders.

If you won the item and can leave negative feedback, leave a factual response and file a non performing seller report. If tehy get a few of these their selling priviliges will be restricted or their acount closed. You can not make the person sell you the item, you can just give them an eBay slap so hopefuly they will think twice about doing this again.

If you complain to eBay, don't expect a response, or any action!

You haven't lost any money, and another even better saddle will come along soon.

Like I said she did offer it to me and I accepted , I got the email back to say congralations you have bought this item blah blah blah .

But anyways Like you said hopefully will be another saddle out there but will there be before the 24th ?

Right so who wants to find me a saddle ? £200 limit 13.5 - 14.5 inch 8.5 to 9 inch wide , show/working hunter saddle straight cut , also prefer brown .

Thank you though for the information about ebay , I didnt think ebay would respond anyways .

you are only allowed to give out three buy it now offers if you have three of the same item! She has broken ebay rules, I'd be narked aswell!
 
Yes she is out of order. If Paypal was a payment option, your winning email would have given you a link to pay by Paypal, and then there would have been all the hassle of getting refunded ... or not.

Sellers like that screw up the system, so make sure you give her a fat negative to warn other buyers who might get made duplicate second chance offers.
