Do RI's have favorite clients? if so who are the 'favorites'?
The whiz a long kids - who have no fear and are sponges for learning
The novice mums who are slow learners and nervous, but maybe give RI's a sense of achievement when they get better.
The good riders who have a natural riding ability.
Do you prefer to teach groups or private/individual?
Do you perfer to teach flat work, jumping or XC?

I enjoy teaching all sorts of people on all sorts of horses

It is probably easier to teach braver kids on schoolmasters, yet far more rewarding teaching nervous riders and get them over their first cross-pole.

But my pet hate is parents who buy something difficult for their child and then expect me to perform miracles! If I think a pony is unsuitable I say so, and I have refused to continue teaching some children as I think the pony is killing off their confidence.

I like to teach novices and go with them to local shows to help. I also like helping keen kids to do dressage tests.

I prefer to teach in small groups or one-to-one. But I also love teaching large groups of kids in PC/riding schools - that can be great fun! So I basically like teaching everything except the big stuff, and my daughter because she needs someone else to push her to jump the big stuff as I can't bear to watch
