Road accident involving horse

Yes I was just reading this - does anyone know the road?

I wonder if it was a loose horse or a accident with a horse & rider?

It's a busy road, and happeded in early hours, a loose horse. They were trying to trace the owner. A tragic accident.

Funny how the article doesn't mention what happened to the horse!! Or how the horse ended up on the road etc etc.

ETS: Thanks to everyone for pointing out I can't read!!!!!!!!!!!!! I even forgot where I was yesterday when answering the phone at work. The deterioration is happening so fast!!!

The BBC report does state that the horse was fatally injured
The road is stil closed for investgations, so how it came to be on the road wil be one of the questions, esp once they have managed to trace the owner.

The road is a bad one at the best of times.This story was on my French website earlier, and I do know the area, its not far from Stoneleigh and the motorway network. Thoughts to everyone involved.

i know the area as i work at stoneleigh, the horse did die and some people are still in hospital.

A passenger in the car died...tragic and sad accident, all in the car were young.

Presumably will be a big insurance claim, questions about owners liability again....
