Hi everyone, thanks for all your previous replies, they made me so determined to see this through. My statement was taken last night and the police are going to arrest this man on a public order offence. This means that it is the police who are taking him to court, not me. I am just a police witness. Nothing will probably happen for a month or so, then I should hear where it goes from here, either he admits it and holds his hands up (which I doub't, arrogant b*****d) or he will go to court and I will testify against him. Feel a bit relieved that its over for a while and I can get on enjoying my riding. Thanks you all so much for your support, once again it helped me so much. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well done you and I wish you all the luck in the world getting this person convicted so he is an example to all. I admire you for having the strength to see this through as it is hard and many riders feel they don't want to do anything or take things further. Good luck.

thats great news, good luck and i hope he gets convicted, its about time that somebody did something to stop these idiots !

well done i hope it teaches him a lesson if nothing else then at least there will be one less ass hole on the road

Well done you, keep us updated and good luck, hopefully you will not have to go to court, but if you do I'm sure you will have lots of support........ I don't know you, but I am really proud of you for standing your ground........

Excellent news, I must admit to being surprised that the police are actually doing something about it. Must be getting cynical in my old age.

Just in case it takes ages to come to court write everything down now for yourself
As far as I can remember you will not be allowed to see your statement again--but pls someone correct me if Im wrong
Memories can get blurred as time goes on especially after discussing topic on here--best to make notes on your discussion with police as soon as you have a few minutes
All the best and thanks for update

You will be able to see it again but it's usually shown to you by a prosecutor just before you go into court so rather last minute. Ask the officer to have a copy of your statement to keep just in case, it's your statement so shouldn't be a problem. You won't be required to attend unless he pleads 'not guilty' but even if he does don't worry, witness care is very good these days.

Well done, I admire your courage and determination. I hope he gets a suitable sentence.

Well Done you!! We have reported people to our local force before and all they did was shrug their shoulders.

round of applause for a good police force!!

Hope it hasnt affected you too much!!
