road safety research- who was it? Help!!

I vaugly remember there was an HHO member who was involved in equestrian road safety and had maybe done some research or was involved with a road safety organisation.

I can't find them through the search engine but I'd love to find out more about what they have been doing. Does this ring any bells??

Also if you are involved in equestrian road safety in any way I'd be interested to hear what you do.

I am an MSc Transport Planning student and I am persuading my tutors that there is a whacking great gap in the transport achademic literature on equestrians as road users and thats why it should be my dissertation topic.

also try the bhs access people - they get involved in all sorts of transport thingies, such as local transport plans, all the trunk road schemes, and that failed VRUXIPs project.

I have done work on the turret heights of bridges used by equestrians and the specifications for underpasses for equestrians as well as specification of road surfaces suitable for equestrian use.
