instead of the gvnt's current idea, would anybody be in favour of abolishing Road Tax altogether, and having a price hike in fuel to cover.
example. £1.50 per litre...the more you use the more you pay...
thereby for the more fuel efficient vehicles the driver would automatically pay less and the "gas-guzzlers" more!!
with of course, the gvnt using the extra revenue to improve the situation on the roads...
BUT they (the Gvnt) shouldnt have it both ways.ie road fund tax AND "Pay-as-You-Drive"!!!!!
