Hi

I am in the process of arranging for a horse that I am buying to have a pre-purchase examination and the sell has given me the name of the above vets which are local to the area.

I'm quite an neurotic person and I'm always a bit wary of using vet that the seller has suggested but as they have given 3 suggestions and not pushed me towards on in particular I feel a little better about it but I'm not from this area so wondered if anyone has any experience of any of them.

I understand from some older posts on here that Robin Kernohan used to work at Chine and has since set up alone.

Can recommend Lucile who is at Chinehouse . Excellent equine vet who regularly is the endurance vet at rides .

I also really rate Lucile. She is very straight to the point (in a good way) and is a bloody good vet. She has an excellent way with the horses including my stroppy stroppy mare!

He vetted a horse for me several years ago - it was very straight forward and he had a good chat with me afterwards on the phone as I'm in Scotland. There was nothing significant found in the vetting and we duly bought the horse who has remained sound and healthy so perhaps not the best way to judge but I was certainly happy with his vetting and communication.
