Has anyone else been?

Having to pick the OH up from the airport the week after next and was wondering if it's worth popping in? Robinson's shuts at 4.30 and the flight gets in at 7 so it would mean having to kill a few hours at the airport if I did go...

Is it worth a trip???

I few of my friends have been and said it was rubbish! Not much in the way of bargins, infact not much selection there at all

For us who live local its ok, cheaper than countrywide by miles not a big store but the garden centre etc means you could waste a few hours there.

I go almost daily for various things as its very local to me.

I would say: go with no expectations and take it as it is... a small shop packed to the rafters with as much stuff as they can squeeze in.

It'll pass some time at least.

Hummmm, undecided! I was getting quite excited about going until I looked on their website and it stated that it was a 'store' where as the others are megastores or superstores.

The main thing I'm after are some yard boots/wellies etc as I know own three pairs of boots with holes in them! (Or shall I just buy myself some ariats online and just get to cardiff for 7pm??)

I've been there and found it ok. More selection than the other tack shops I go to locally and reasonable prices. Staff were helpful and friendly too.

I was dissapointed tbh, they didn't seem to have the stuff they did have on the shelves in different sizes, or stock the most common sizes in rugs etc, I would definitely give them a ring to see if they have what you're after in stock to save a wasted journey.

There is alot of requisite stuff which is not what I would be after. The staff are helpful but I'm fed up of calling in for something to be told its not in stock or it'll be in on whenever, I want it NOW that's why I'm here ! Which has been a problem in other local tack shops, I had hoped it wouldn't be the case in Robinsons, as they are much bigger than any tack shop in the area.

I'd say Pritchards is better and unless they sort themselves out people will not go there and they'll end up shutting which would be a shame.

That's the problem I've had, the lack of sizes, been over a dozen times after fetlock & brushing boots, but seem to have them only in one colour & size per type of boot, the sale they promote consisted of a few boxes of rugs in the middle, cant find find a 6ft rug for love nor money.

Hence I'll save the fiver I spend on fuel from Newport & use it for P&P from the website, get it delivered in size and colour I want.

Only reason I end in there so much is we pick up our reptiles food from Dragon Reptiles next door.
