** Robinsons ** new stores opening

I so hope so! I used to live in Cardiff so am seeing this as a "reason" to come and shop!
Bit sad its only a little one tho!
 
Hi kal40 there are a few more opening, not sure where though tey are listed in the back of the new catalogue, mine is on yard so can check but they miht say on website???
 
Its opened near me, have visited a few times, not much selection on rugs & riding boots, if you want something in particular I suggest you ring first to see if they have it. There's alot of the requisite stuff, not alot of choice of other things IMO, but hopefully they'll rectify that when they realise what people want.

I wouldn't be impressed if I'd travelled a long journey to find what I wanted not in stock, good job I only live a few minutes away !
 
I wouldn't get too excited guys, the Robinsons shops are crap!! The one near me only ever seems to stock Requisite stuff, and even then they don't have many sizes.

I only buy Robinsons stuff online now, don't bother with the shop as it's a waste of time. Our little local tack shop is equally as good, if not better, and the people working in the local shop are more interested in making sure you get what you are looking for. Staff in the Robinsons shop are too "computer says no" for my liking...
 
Wish they'd come down near me! Even if they do just stock their own brand! The tack shops around here are rubbish!! :(

Yeah they definitely can't add up - but this has always worked in my favour... I bought a pair of jeffreys stirrups in there and on the reciept they were 97p... Not that I'm complaining! ;)
 
Website def better thasn the shop - I used to, briefly, live about an hour away from their store and was delighted to go for a visit since I used the website so much - what a let down, it was like a jumble sale and all requisite
 
Just seen this thread, went to new Robinsons near Cardiff at the weekend. It's tiny and poorly stocked. Really disappointed :(

Didn't have the rug in size I wanted, that was that. No offer to order one in, staff not helpful in the least. Pretty poor really.

They're not stocking any dog items either (I get that it's a small store, but still).

Won't be going back :(
 
the new catalougue couldn't be less interesting if it tried. Seems they really have just switched over to Requisite for most stuff. :rolleyes:

And is it me, or are all the Requisite bridles really weird, in that the cheek pieces and reins are attached by billets facing the wrong way round, and look awful ?

Tbh, I'd rather shop on ebay than with them now, shame as I used to buy almost everything from them.
