We purchased 3 requisite rugs from robinsons we brought a 6ft, which is whatb our horse need, but it didn't fit, but all herb other rugs are 6ft and fit. So we measured the requisite rug, to discover i only meausred 5ft6, but was labled as 6ft. This has happend 3 time

all the robinsons rugs we've had have strange sizings, belly straps that are too long, rugs not coming up to size, are enormous etc

My only Robinsons rug - stable rug - is fine but not a great cut - it does the job as a top layer. But I guess if I wanted a well cut, well sized rug I'd have paid a bit more and got another Horseware rug. You get what you pay for but if it is definately the wrong size send it back.

I haven't bought any for a few years, but some of mine are in their 8th winter - my mare is wearing one tonight that is 8 years old.

They were good for the money at one point, might order some for my filly soon.

FUnny you should mention this.
I have a rainsheet from Robinsons that is far to narrow around the chest. My mare is 6ft in all other rugs, but could of done with a 6"3 robinsons rug!
She is only a dainty TB aswell so not exactly broad chested..

I have to say i have several of their rugs and never had a problem.
The amount of money i have saved is huge, buying a full neck heavy weight stable rug for around 20 quid is great! and its on its 3rd winter!

I had a Requisite turnout that was useless as the lining was bigger than the rug and stuck out at the back, efficiently wicking all the rain in under the rug ... Also the tailflap came off on the first day and one of the breast straps on day 2. As Kitsune says, you get what you pay for...

I have 2 stable rugs one 250g and one 100g fill and they are brilliant.

I have 1 turnout which is 250g fill and that is also pretty good, breathable, waterproof, really impressed!

I never had a problem with the quality of the rugs but the sizing is intresting, as he has rugs from them that range from 5ft9 to 6ft3, he's usually a 5ft9.

I have two stable rugs (200gms) which are about 3 years old and bought at a time when most stable rugs were either 100gm or 300+gms. They are a really good fit and have a nylon shell so repels wet.

The turnouts dont seem to last long with rug rippers - I think the majority are 600D which isnt hard wearing enough for me.

I agree with the sizing - it is a bit hit and miss. The buckles etc are also quite poor quality in comparison to other makes. But as said before, you get what you pay for and I think my stable rugs were only about £15 each so cant really complain.

If I were you I would steer well clear of the requisite rugs. They are cheap rubbish, are always very odd shapes/fittings and never seem to sit right on a horse

I don't like Requisite rugs. They probably come up small because they're cheaply made. I would rather look on Equestrian Clearance warehouse website and grab a decent made rug in the sales !! Even the requisite vest I bought in LARGE HORSE size only fits a Section B Welsh pony !

I've got a middle/heavyweight requisite T/O rug which i brought around September time & it's been great so far. It fits my TB really well, keeps her warm & dry and hasn't ripped yet! (touch wood!!) I think i paid around £40 for it & was a great bargain as there's no way i'd have found another one of a similar weight for that price. I'd definitely be willing to try another one.
