I spent ages ringing this morning but no joy, finally got onto the website and have got some of those boots, they look lush and warm for my little tootsies, especially as my welly socks are starting to rub my heels and I have no warm winter boots. Got some dublin socks too.

Can't wait for it to arrive. Makes a nice change spending money on yourself this time of year.

Well, I thought I'd managed ok - placed my online only to get an email 10 minutes later telling me there was a problem with my card and I have to phone the call centre.

Now, I know for a fact there's nothing wrong with my card as I've just checked balance etc online - but can I get through to them? Can I heck! You don't even get the engaged tone, just a message telling you that they can't take your call at this time and then get cut off - which I am sure you probably get charged for.

You'd think they would anticipate the demand and prepare for it, but that would obviously be asking too much. My order contains some Christmas presents and I would really like them to arrive on time. Suspect that won't be the case!

They are having major website problems. Also - mad me - I got up at 6am to log on immediately the sale started as my daughter had set her heart on the rainbow stripey rug on the back cover of their sale catalogue. The sale site was already "live" when I logged in at 5 to six - but the rug was shown to be "out of stock". When I called later they said thay had never in fact had any of that rug to sell.

Slightly annoyed... up early in the freezing cold and still no xmas pressie! That'll teach me LOL!
