Robinsons sale!

I think their sales seem to get worse everytime. There wasn't anything at all in the brochure dor this one that interested me :(

I used to look forward to them and get some bargains!
 
total waste of time - they seem to have given up. Could Robinsons be on the way out ?? Their catalogue gets thinner and thinner, and their sales are just a joke.

Just a thought :confused:
 
Everything that I had my eye on is full price in the colour I liked :( OR sold out before the sale started ???
 
Funny that, but everything I have a look at in Robinsons sales is already sold out by the time I click on them. Like last time, when I was waiting the very minute the sale started. s they either have one of the decent things or it wasnt in the sale at all imo.
Or its on sale in a rubbish colour and unusual size and you choose the one you need and its not in the sale.

The Robinsons sale has been rubbish for the last few years at least.
 
I think some of the things that look like a good deal are just to tempt you in and they have one of them, and the rest is just the old tat. Someone spent a lot of time trying to find out about one of the saddles in the sale brochure last year and it turned out apparently, someone had nipped in and bought it at full price the very evening before it was in the sale...hmmm.
 
The place that's been having some incredible bargains this year is Derby House. I'm on their mailing list and they keep doing one day only specials. So far I've bought three rugs at 70% off and two pairs of breeches, also 70% off. Leather seated breeches that should have been £70 for £18 is a proper bargain. :)
 
Tbf derby house does get slated a lot, but I've also had some bargain breeches.

I got a couple of pairs £69.99 down to £21 or something like that, they arrived quickly and are really nice and comfy, and they have different colours and sizes in!
 
Derby house has my vote.... Robinsons sale is seeming to be a waste of time so far :(

Equestrian Clearance I also have a fetish for lol :D
 
Equestrian Clearance is fab - almost next day delivery. My only word of caution with them is their K*TY range - bought a couple of times, and not good. x
 
Robinson sale is a rip off ( RANT )..................when you actually click on the size you want it goes back up to the original price, already complained but they say the magic 'From' word is added - well why list it as a sale item if its normal price.

And just to add they never remove 'sold out' items - is this to show they are selling out fast ( crap marketing strategy or just laziness )

I was on 1st thing this am and most of what I wanted was all sold within 10 mins - sorry Robinsons but I just don't believe you!!

Such a shame...............

Agree with this, what a complete and utter waste of time.

Wish they'd remove the sold out items too, when the first 4 pages I've clicked on are already sold out, CBA to look any further :mad:
 
I can't find anything I'd part with actual money for in Robinsons, full price or sale! It is full of absolute junk these days. Used to be great for cheap but practical own brand gear, now everything is pink plasticky nastiness.
 
Catalogue only arrived today, have seen some jodhpurs I would like but sounds like they may not have any left :(

Got some good stuff last time from them, but the time before that I wanted some bits but called at 6:50, only to be in a que for 10 minutes then get cut off at 7- call back and funnily enough their lines were closed. :mad: To say I was not amused was an understatement so out of annoyance I didnt call back the next day and buy what I had wanted!

Edited to add: yes I think their catalogues have got more limited too.
 
Right so since posting ... I ended up buying some of those wellie shoes by joules, a leather dressage girth for £20 and some cute cottage craft pony travel boots.

We shall wait verdict on delivery time.

Will say how annoying it is when you see a bargain click on it and then price goes right up to normal price... cheats!
 
I wouldnt have minded one of those newmarket blankets but cant really afford it atm. Biggest size has gone anyway.

Capriole - that was me!
So laughed cynically to myself when the sale email came through and didnt bother to check it out.
Lucky really as I looked at it later in the day and once again the very same saddle ( my colour and size too!)was in the sale for an even better price - reduced from more than £650 (can't remember exactly!) to £199! Bargain!
Amazingly however it was already out of stock!
I wouldn't be surprised to discover that someone bought the last one the previous evening!

Happy to be proved wrong though...anyone!
