Hi,

We are having real problems with our girls itching, the whippet has really sensitive skin which she itches every time she moults (it then becomes a vicious circle) but the jack russel has also developed this this year, they are well up to date for fleas and have herbal collars on too, in addition the whippet has had a steroid jab and antibiotics to calm it all, but it is back again! It is heart breaking to see :(

Someone I know reccomended putting sulphur in their water, but we have a springer who drinks loads when he is nervous (and I mean loads) will the sulpher in the water cause a problem to him?

Thank you

My four year old Large Munsterlander is an "itchy" dog, particularly towards the end of summer, so I've noticed. He was Frontlined about a month ago, but still scatches like mad - God knows why! OH is a homeopath and he suggested I try giving him sulphur, which I've just started (Nelsons suphur 30c potency - couple of tablets per day) and he's already scratching less! Worth a try!

cheers, will try tablets, I was just worried about putting it in the water because archie will sometimes just keep drinking and drinking, didn't know if they could 'overdo it' with sulphur and it cause any negative effects. I have also been reccommended advocate for fleas because despite trying strong hold, and frontline and herbal collars, the blooming things just arent dying like they should :( the boys are fine, but the girls are plauged by itchiness and we keep seeing fleas still on them, I think its a bit of both though, itchiness and the bloody jumping things. Can't seem to completely get rid of either at the moment... I am dispairing :( will try advocate and sulphur tablets on girls

No problems about using it in the water as well as using the tablets. We had to use both for our old Border Terrier who was allergic to grass, hay and straw during the summer, soon soothed him down. Only thing I would say is don't use the tablets when it's not necessary as you don't want him to become immune to them because it's such a handy, efficient and cheap cure.
