For those who are interested, Norman's 3 week update is up - I think another HHO's members horse (Josh) was yesterday - poor Nic must be busy!

All I can concentrate on from the videos is how clean his tail was 3 weeks ago, and how back to normal it is now. Sob. I hate having a grey!

I don't know about more than the blog really! Hoping to go down and see him at the end of Feb if I can.

As a comparison, here are his feet in the summer of 2013 just before I took his shoes off

I've just had a look at the blog and I'm really impressed with the difference in just 3 weeks - WOW!

When will you be due to get him back and will you be able to ride straight away or will he still need more rehabbing?

I just read Norman's update...so pleased for you! Got Josh's yesterday and really pleased with his progress too. I'd spent many months trawling through the blogs and seeing photos of other peoples horses progress but it's so nice to see it actually working on your own!
I'm going down to visit Josh again next weekend so will say hi to Norman if I see him :-)

Ha, I think you'll have no choice in the matter, he's probably stuck to him like glue :D I'm really hoping to go see him, he's very nice normally and gives me a nice neigh when I shout for him - mainly because I have pockets full of treats :rolleyes3: Its nice to see Josh is getting on well too, lovely update pictures of the walking :)

Madlady - I don't know about the riding, if at all! I'm seeing how he goes, he's 16 this year so riding would be great, but if I can get him field sound to retire I'd take that too. He's got quite a while there yet I think.

Downton - I'm learning all the time, half the reason I wanted to send him to Rockley was to learn and have some support too, he's had shoes off for 2 years (apart from the rehab wedges) so I just want to know how I can do it better really, as I obviously managed to break him when he wasn't wearing shoes :o

Lol, don't send a grey to Exmoor and expect it to come back looking anything like. Mine came home with the thickest coat ever and her tail dragging on the floor, her rug never did recover despite several trips to the rug hospital. So bloody wet there it gets into everything. All worth it for a sound pony though :)

ETA - make sure you get Nic to add you to the Rockley Rehab Forum, the perfect place for every little wobble and to share the good times.

Thanks I will do.

His rug wardrobe could do with an update anyway so ruined rugs don't bother me, he arrived in a ripped one that he did the day before going!!

How long since yours was there?

It was great to read his update :)
And make the most of not clearing up after him by getting that thesis done missus :p.

I'd make you stop by and meet Frank and his feet on the way down if visiting but I don't think we are quite 'on the way' :D

She's been back two years now. My rehab is Isla and I own Mango as well who's an honorary Rockley due to his staring role in healthy hooves ;)

Thankyou equidae, he's probabky working his feet really hard to eat as much as possible whilst staying glued to Josh.

Ester - er thesis? You mean I'm not supposed to spend all day on here and on fb? :o. I must submit two draft chapters tomorrow, they're so close but I need to knuckle down and finish the discussion!

I will have a look for them polonaise :)

Glad to see he's doing well :) Oddly my horse (Prince) managed to stay cleaner at Rockley than he does at home (guess he didn't do as much rolling) but he did go in Summer and it was a nice warm and sunny one (So Exmoor is forever ingrained in my mind as that place where it's warm, sunny and gorgeous lol). You definitely need to ask to join the rehab forum :)
