Rode my horse for the first time in a month today!

As title really

Oscar has had a month off due to lameness caused by a sore back

He's been sound for the last 2 weeks after having the chiropractor but I wanted to leave it a bit longer just to make 100% sure he was better and I think he also deserved a rest from a rather hectic Spring, Summer and Autumn out competing!

It felt so good to be back in the saddle! needless to say that I will probably ache again tomorrow!!

Has anyone else's horse come back from lameness recently?

haha I generally seem to have a month off every few weeks from various injuries. he's very accident prone

I am having time off at the moment due to a sore back - its frustrating watching my neice ride, i love watching her but part of me is saying I should be doing that!

Nice to be back in the saddle eh!

and tangoharvey I know how you feel! I was getting a tad jealous of watching everyone else ride and then only being able to lunge

It's a great feeling isn't it. I had my first canter yesterday after two months in light work. Reminded me why we put up with the cold and the rain.
