Rodent proof feed bins advice please

Due to on going rodent problem, tat never seems to go away!!! I want to buy a metal feed bin set to keep my un opened bags of nuts and chaff in. I have rodent proof bins in the feed room, but the store room for spare bags is just in an empty stable... And I keep finding holes in the bags and nuts on the floor, even though I've got the bags off the floor on several pallets. So any good ideas folks, I can spend about £100

Depends on how tight on space you are. I use old chest freezers or four drawer filing cabinets if space is tight.

We used to use old chest freezers - perfect - and also lockable.

…and, if you smile nicely, you'll get them free at your local recycling centre.

Then there's oil drums which is what I use as they are easier to move around and put in corners.

Edited to say I also have some pallet bin from the local abattoir. Fish farms might be another source. They are slightly damaged but the price was right (free).

I use metal dustbins with one of those bungee cords to hold the lid shut.

Another vote for old chest freezers - totally rodent proof and about a tenner a pop round here.

Me too. Same arrangement in house for the big bag of dried dog food . The JRT chewed into a plastic dustbin and/or knocked the lid off before.

Thanks... Off to local farm foods who are moving to a new place in few weeks... They will probably have a freezer I can have... Never thought of that... Yes I have the space...

Can't use poison too many dogs and cats around the yard.. Got a sonic device but it's not that effective.

I bought a coal bunker from eBay a couple of years ago for £40, exactly same dimensions as horse feed bins, but less than half the price!

We have cats and dogs here but we use the feed room as place to put them down and close feedroom door
