I am having a disagreement with my daughter - we have 2x ponies 13hh & 14.2hh - We have just had 2 fab stables built for them both 12ft x 12ft each with lovely large doors so we have made them a paddock to come in and out of a night. They go in the main field in the day. I had a thought to put a "Roll" of hay in one of the stables they are very paired and adore each other so no fighting goes on. But my daughter say "NO" stupid idea !!! --- Is it a stupid idea ? very little to no grass in paddock.

It would have to be a pretty wide door to get a full round bale through; I wouldn't as it will make a mess and you'll end up with a fair bit of wastage, I'd just stick a good sized heap in every night.

If they can go in and out as they please, I would put a round in 1 stable for them to share inside a ring feeder with toppa net, you will get very minimal wastage and will save you hours in stuffing nets.

No, I wouldn't do it, even the best of friends fall out - and its going to be very tight in there to start with (and how on earth will you get it in?)

I'd be filling a couple of nets & hanging them in both stables if you are leaving them open to share.

Otherwise, leave the round outside for them to share if that suits you better.

Round bale feeder in the night time paddock, sorry :) Then they can come in and rest in the dry, etc, but still need to move around in order to eat.

Not really enough space in a 12 by 12 stable (but I disagree with one point you'd easily get it in - my doorways are 4 foot and hence the 4 foot rounds get in easily for storage)
They might bicker and they'd certainly pull it all down and poo/ wee all over it and you'd end up throwing loads away the extra mucking out would use up all the time you'd save by not just chucking in a couple of large piles once a day.
