Sooo now Dolly has edging towards 3 months old :o:eek: and is maturing i wondered if anyone would like to have a stab at what her daddy could have been?

Im voting a maxi cob, or possibly shire type and have attached a photo of a shire foal take in mind this is a purebred shire :

And these were taken this evening, excuse how poo they were, Tessy and Dolly were both more interested in the cookie i brought them:eek: I am a bad mum/grandma

Tess is 14.3hh for comparison !

Def something big, heavy and hairy. Possibly a big trad cob or similar. I would say prob more likely to be Clydesdale in there rather than Shire as that is what is more commonly used to add weight to that sort of breeding.

Whatever it is Dolly is going to be a stunning cob. Whether she stops at 15.1 to be a normal cob or grows to be a maxi.

Yeah i wasgoing for big chunky maxi cob sort, Ah thank you past owner said she had Tess for 2 years ( could be complete poo) so if it wasn't an accident you would have thought clydie :)

Thank you, she is naughty but beautiful, vet seemed to think she will easily make 15hh .. time will tell !

3 months already crikey! How the time flies. I would guess her sire is a large traditional looking at her, she is a pretty filly

It does only seems like yesterday i was posting photos of tessy bears boobies on here :o:D Thank you !

No idea, but she is so very big! Your paddocks look excellent, nicely done :)

Thank you :) we are on clay soil so everything blooms in the right conditions

Yeah, looking at her legs compared to Tess, I would agree with the vet there. I think the likelihood (presuming Tess' previous owner had traditional cob types) is that her dad is just that.

Thank you ! Well she had lots of cob and a shire cross boy ... not sure if he was a gelding or stallion ! However she was dodgy and a dealer ( only found out after buying) so nothing to say Tessy was straight from ireland and she wanted a quick sale before baby bump set in :D:o

tbh I would just say some sort of BIG trad cob.

What a lovely result though :D She's going to be stunning when she's older. Well, more so than she is now!

Thank you !he was defo something hairy and chunky me thinks :)

I hope she will make a lovely little ( big ) horse

Do the previous owners not know what horses - stallions, more to the point - that Tessy's been around?

Dolly's looking stunning, i think you need to tell her to stop growing so quickly. She's going to make such a huge heavy cob at this rate, but beautiful nonetheless. Loving the picture of her losing her baby fluff :D

Dolly is growing on beautifully!! I would think she is definitely by a very hairy traditional cob.

The Shire foal in your post is a cracker!! Did you take the photo? Do you know anything about the foal? It's possible he/she isn't even as old as Dolly is now.
