So how was everyones day?? I have had a nice day - we had some good news from work

(makes a change!!

) and I did some work with both my horses - had a great lesson on Nixon!!

Am now drinking Pimms!! anyone fancy a glass??

Shall I text the midwife and ask when the next and last mare will be on camera??

Been a lovely sunny day here. I have been painting .....still!!!!

But, horse are all ok and enjoying the sunshine now!!

Good news about your boy Slinky, sounds like you have sorted him out, well done!

I'd love a glass of Pimms (can I have a piece of cucumber in mine please!!)

And, it would be great if you text the midwife, would love to know when the final one (sob!) is nearly ready!!

Well all I've done today is work, then got daughter from train station as she's been to exeter today shopping, did ask her if she'd fancy poppin over to Rollestone but she said I'm mad

And been and fed the horses.

Thanks for your reply on my other post Slinks, i figured i'd reply on here. I'm actually feeling quite optimistic about the whole thing now. I spoke to my instructor today about the sponsored ride etc today and she said about a few of the jumps on the way i should have a go at , so didnt question whether im ready or not. hurrah!


Anywho, had a fab lesson today too

Darcy was lovely and round and actually balanced enough to do canter serpentines and shallow loops without getting his legs in a knot

And timescale DEFINITLY needed!

DL - that sounds promising!!

I reckon you'll surprise yourself with the whole jumping thing - just aim to do a little before camp so you go feeling confident.

Sorry, had to pop out to sort out one of the horses, she had a bit of a runny eye, so made some strong tea up to bathe it in. Looks a lot better, hopefully will be better in the morning!

D_L you'll be fine, just take the jumping lark at your own pace. I really dislike jumping, so can't really comment!!!!! But if it was me, I'd start really small, I mean on the floor and progress from that! I'd probably fall off over that though!!!

BTW I have jumped in the past!!! Just don't bounce so well now!!

Although i do prefer all four feet on the ground - for now.
Used to loove jumping when i was younger. I used to ride a little NF who never refused and you literally just sat, kicked and sat some more

Tomorrow, sunshine, no painting and all day horses!!!

Tomorrow up the yard bright and early to hoik Darcy and Tom out into the field. Muck out both their stables, grab darcy back in for half 9 to hack.

Come home and attempt to do some work

Back down the yard for 3.30 to hoik darcy back in, and go for a 15 minute poodle around the farm with Tom

Darcy WILL loose weight.
