Rollestone mares

It's a temporary stabling block as they've had problems with planning, I guess the mares are more comfortable in their own stables instead of being moved to the bigger ones when their time comes..

much better than Luci's last night - I didn't think that as going to end well, but it did thank god!

Does anyone else think the stables look very small for foaling? Compared to some of the lovely big boxes and barns I've seen in piccies in the Breeding section, these seem quite restrictive...

To be honest it doesn't matter how big the stables are - the mares will nearly always choose to jam their backs against a wall. The mare that I had foal down about a month ago spent a good five minutes of her labour trying to push the foal into a corner & she's was (well still is) in a huge foaling box.

Woooo hoooo early nights all round. Congrats to Jem and thank heavens for a strong man with a long arm!

I waved back....sad uppet that I am!

Ahh.....I did wonder, when I saw Jem using the wall to brace herself against! Sill horses, they are all the same I guess, whether it be rolling or foaling!
