poor samstar... Honeypots is so cruel to you..lets wrap her in stickleback (thats what we used to call goose grass)
It actually dry here and has been so since midday, looks like it could pour down at any mo mind you, but got loads of washing out swooshing in the wind. It is chilly compared to how it has been tho, might have to put a cardi on in the mo, or get the hoover out...
Not for me thanks, gotta go running in a bit, got a bikini to try and fit into in just over 3 weeks! Believe me i will already look like the beached whale next to my sis! she is touching 6ft to my 5'4 and legs to her armpits! So unfir, why wasnt i stretched when i was young!?
Hey all, how is your day going? I've been out and about on a non-horsey day today which is very unlike me! Have the remains of the lemon cake if anyne wants a bit.
Off to Halkidi with my sis amd ma, my sis finishes her pgc (teaching thing) in a couple of weeks, so us girlies are off for some sun and copious amounts of vino and bacardi.
Hi Seaview, how are you? What sort of non hoursy day have you been having?
School fete to start, then picked up little cousins that I am babysitting this weekend and then down to the shops for some stuff for the school show. Just in, chillin out for a wee hour and then I'll see to the boys before a wee BBQ tonight - phew!!!! Lol!!
ok so how many of you guys do just dressage comps? as ive entered two tests for next sun (14th) and never done two at one time before how am i gona remember them both ahhhh!!
ldlp - I'm just starting to do stressage with my boy
(my mare goes lame at the mention of work
- thats why she is on box rest
- I told her she had to do the walk and trot test at the yard annual show and bugger me 2 days later has gone all footy
.....) but I was talking to my RI about the best way to learn them (like you if I am going to go somewhere I may as well do 2 to make it worth the effort) and she suggested drawing them out on a piece of paper. On a piece of A4 mark out where the letters are and then draw the test as you 'walk through' it in your mind. Make up symbols for walk, trot etc and it should help it stick. Then just before each test read through it a couple of times. There will also be someone there to read for you - I would use them as if I make a mistake my mind will go blank......
There will be some one at the competition who will read for you if you need it. Don't think my OH would be up to reading it for me and we would probably just end up squabbling about it as I would blame him if I went wrong!!
Better to get the organisers person to do it as they will know what they are doing and you avoid a domestic!!
