Have just read this thread and am loving how a simple discussion about whether or not mares may or may not foal has degenerated into something much, much more interesting
Hi girls, not been on as I received really sad news tonight. i want you to be honest with me but can a broken fetlock joint be fixed? I'm typing through tears and don't know what to think.

Seaview, you poor thing "Here" **Mikamoon passes a large white russian*** (what a memory eh!)
I had a look on tinterweb and they say that lower limb fractures are often very successful if operated on.
Thanks guys, it is my once in a lifetime horse that I had to sell to go back to uni to do my post grad as I felt I wouldn't be able to keep him fit for the level we competed at, it broke my heart and I have regretted it ever since. His new owner has called to say he was involved in a freak accident today and this is the result - the x-rays have been sent to a specialist for a quick decision as what to do. I can't bear it. I feel so devestated I can't describe it.
