I heard today that if you rub tomato ketchup into the area where the foxes poo is, leave for 5 mins then wash off it gets ride of the smell completely.
Wish I'd been told that when I had a dog he was always rolling in the stuff!

I have heard this, but have not had the occasion to try it (long may this continue, the one time he rolled in fox poo I gagged!)

My sister has tried this with her cavaliers, apparently it does work

Luckily mine just seem to head for the horse poo, slightly less offensive

Try Hibiscrub instead, I used it the other day on some unidentified faeces and Otto smelt fresh as a daisy for days afterwards

I have yet to try it on Fox Poo though, that will be the real test.
I couldn't bear rubbing ketchup into his coat!

Ketchup makes me want to vomit at the best of times so the thought of rubbing it into fox scat makes me feel sooo ill!

Apparently vinegar works too & is less messy.

What works even better is keeping an eye on the offending hound & shouting, 'Noooooooooo' if he's thinking about rolling...

Easier said than done sometimes tho!

Ha I can beat that - mine rolls in the fox poo and then eats it.

The smell is awful, so I normally use strong tea tree shampoo to remove.

If anyone has a cure to stop them actually deciding it wonderful stuff to roll, I'd really appreciate it.

Mine stopped rolling in fox poo after he started associating it with a visit to the hose... Unfortunately badger and deer poo are too unusual and interesting for the deterrent to work!

For a water loving dog, he hates hoses!
