I have had my horse since feb. he was 5 stage vetted. When he rolls his back legs shake before he gets down. Then when he's getting up he looks awkward. He sits up like a dog and looks awkward (only way I can describe it without you seeing) getting up! He's always done it. He's def sound and shows no other signs of lameness/weirdness. Should I worry?

I wouldn't worry. There's a humungus range of "normal" for all the various things that horses do and it can stretch from cute to funny to odd to weird to downright scary and it's all perfectly fine!

Thanks for ur reply! I feel relieved.
Should I give him a joint supplement just incase? Was thinking msm? As a preventative for anything. He gets micronised linseed too

Lots of top competition yards feed msm as a preventative so I guess it wouldn't hurt. But the jury's still out on whether it does any good whatsoever because anything the horse eats is of course then broken down into its constituent parts in the bath of hydrochloric acid in the gut. Any horse fed a good, balanced diet almost certainly already has all the constituent parts going down its throat!!!!! Still, if it makes you feel you're doing something, then why not!
