Rollkur Debate Essay Help

I am writing a dissertation on the use of rollkur and whether it should be allowed in the modern day training of horses. I am neither looking to advocate nor condemn the practice myself, but just wondered if I could gather your opinions on the subject as some research material - therefore all opinions (both positive and negative) welcomed!

I don't know what discipline you are working in but asking opinions on a forum is unlikely to reveal material suitable for a dissertation. If you are working in the sciences check out the work of Dr Heuschmann and there is also a Dutch study on rollkur (a Google scholar search should reveal it). If you are working in the humanities and need empirical evidence on people's attitudes to rollkur, if you design a good questionnaire I am sure many people on the forum will be happy to fill it in for you.

This. Google scholar-ing brings up several studies on rollkur, none of which are particularly comprehensive or well designed, and some you will need to run through a translator, but it's all there is available really...
