We took her down yesterday, she was an absolute angel.
I feel a bit lost not having to go look after her twice a day :S
Her operation is tomorrow, I just hope it works. Am so worried now but I didn't have any other option

I really really wanted to do xmas showjumping. Remember in August, I started to look at what I could dress her as. And then she went lame in September :(

Just need to get her home now

Thanks

Its keyhole surgery on her tendon sheaths.
Think they're gonna have a look with camera first then cut the annular ligament and get rid of scar tissue. Whatever they need to in there. On both front legs :(

Is she at Rossdales in Exning? If she is and she's still there on Monday I'll go and say 'hi' as I'm taking my girl in for more treatment. :/

Vallin, she's not there, she's at NEH, hope all goes ok with your girl too

Lol Twinkle, your name is too long to type now. I wouldn't expect any different from you :P :D

RG it sounds more or less exactly what a cob on our yard has just had done. He came home about 2 weeks ago and he's had his bandages off and stitches out today and things looking good so far so I'm sure your lovely girl will be fine too :) This chap had his back legs done a good few years ago as well and they've come good!

Hope all goes well.. NEH is fantastic!! My boy was operated on in Feb & stayed there for a month before I could bring him home.. They have 24 hour care by stable staff..it's just amazing how they look after the horses. He's in good hands!

Ginger bear: a MONTH??????
Thats wayyyyy too long, They told me "about a week" so I hope to god its not more then that.

Lol Turkeyinabun, didn't know you'd altered your name. I like it.
Thanks, I'm hoping I don't have to stare at my phone all day.

Rubysgold...Noooo my boy wasn't in for a month having the same operation, he had arthrodesis for ringbone & had to stay in with a cast..don't panic!! Who's the surgeon??

You know my fingers and toes are crossed for you hun, hope everything goes well.

Now it it wasn't for this blooming snow and ice you could have come of over to our Christmas show, you know there is always a spare nag here to dress up and look stupid with :D, but we can't get out of the yard, just too icey. :(

All the best x

Thanks everyone :)
I rang the office just now, she's had the operation and is back on her feet :)
vet should ring later on today to tell me the details, so relieved.
Just want her home now, she needs a big hug lol

CuriousYellow: Yeah we moved yards at the end of November, its really nice there and everyone has been friendly. Roos much happier having a stable for the night :) Glad I moved before the snow :O

Ginger Bear: The surgeon was Ian Wright, he seemed nice when I met him :)

Kenzo: Thanks you've been a star through this, shame the snow is stopping us :( Lol, hopefully it will go away soon

Morning
vet rang, he said that there was a tear in the tendon that has been tidied up, and that the annular ligaments were very tight, so he's cut them. He said the operation went really well and he's hoping that will be enough to make her ok again :)
He's going to ring me when he changes the bandages, and then she can come home next week, but I don't know what day yet.
So relieved :D
