I have a Ifor 506 that I only ever use to travel one horse. I have a new horse who previously only travelled on lorries. He has now started to load more readily with food and making sure all the doors are shut.

I have been caught in traffic in the recent hot weather and it was hot (which I am aware of being in a car without air conditioning). In previous lorries I have had a roof vent that drew air in to at least have a breeze, and wondered if it was possible to install one in a trailer.

I considered switching to an equitrek as my car can tow it fine, but am put off by the build quality reports. We event so travel fair distances fairly regularly (1 hour plus) so want him to be as happy and as willing to travel as possible!

I also looked at small 3.5 tonne lorries but found that previously I was not using it enough with youngsters and also the prices are high currently compared to my current set up!

Do you not have a vent on the top of the trailer that pushes up and sliding windows on the front ramp and opposite side? Our 506 does but I can't remember if these were "extras".

I have the vent that pushes up and the sliding windows but it’s still a sauna in there in the heat when stationary. I was thinking something that plugs into the power supply to draw air in.

He has no partition as only I only travel one. And he hates the being able to see anything coming up behind him. He will travel with them open but stresses and moved a lot, and then refuses to load on the way home!
