I know that Rose Hips are good for coat and hooves. Does anyone know if they can be fed picked direct from the plants? I know that for human use, all the seeds and hairs inside the hip MUST be removed, a time consuming and tedious task. Rather than do this, can horses consume the seeds and hairs without dire side effects?

Thanks for any input.

We pick loads of them and then dry them out in our airing cupboard and feed. The horses love them and we've never had any adverse reactions from them.

Only the shells, same as for humans. Not sure what is bad that is inside them tbh, but that is what I have always been told and what I stick too.
