I sponsor a class at a prestigious national show and need to decide what colours to choose for the rosettes. The entries will receive the usual red 1st blue 2nd etc and then all entries receive one of 'my' rosette's.

In the past I have had

Red, Burgundy and Black
Purple, Royal Blue and Cream
Meadow Green, Burgundy and Bright Yellow
Mint Green, Lilac and Cream
Royal Blue, Pale Blue and White

Have you won and really liked any unusual colour combination rosettes - if so what?

What colours do you think go well together that aren't the usual?

A thought was Milk Chocolate Brown, Mint Green and Cream?

I have a lovely one its

Pale baby pink and bright cerise pink with white polka dots!

My favourite one was black with purple and gold - sadly it was one I was meant to get but they never sent it me

All my PC ones were normal colours but full of poka dots.

I second the tartan. We had some lovely ones with a black outside ruffle, a tartan second ring, then the "proper" placing colour and a tartan button with the show logo on it. Understated but lovely and a bit different.

Navy, apple, cream
Aqua, peach, cream
Cherry, Adonis (sky blue) cream
are some of the not so usual combinations I have made lately,I always like the aquas and turquises, or for youngstock specials pink, pale blue, pale green,
some combinations you either love or hate that I have been asked for are red & tangerine,or cerise, emerald & purple.
I would ask your manufacturer for ribbon colour samples and have a play its amazing what colours will go together!

Daughter won one at a local RS show that was sponsored by a firm whose logo colours were used - orange and green with gold stripes on, and the firms name down the long ribbons - looks really different (Made by Berkshire Rosettes if that helps). She's also got a navy, pale blue and pale golden yellow which looks very tasteful (think she won that with the dog)
