I was having a clear out of the downstairs cupboard and came accross a load of our rosettes that have been laid neatly in a box. I do have a few on show in my study and my daughter has a few of her most recent ones hanging in her bedroom but to be honest I do find that they collect dust and fade rather quickly left hanging around.

I suppose that some of the special ones I could get mounted in a glass frame or something but wondered what do you do with yours?

I have a thin chain with them hung all the way along the kitchen wall and another one in my little tack from at the yard for my current ponies rossettes :) The trophies are on a shelf in the living room too, but have been overcrowded by motorsport trophies! xxx

On the whole I give them back to the organisers to reuse. Its not that I don't appreciate them, but I haven't space for them, and they cost a lot of money to buy, so I'm saving them a little money at the next show.

As long as I'm happy with my performance on the day, thats all I need.

i have all my old ones and trophies in a box and cant bear to get rid . daughter has hers pinned on the back of her door but i suspect when she runs out of space will just keep the first and champion rosettes up.

Ours are on a cork board in the kitchen :) It started as a bit of a joke, neither sister or I had shown for years, until we got the current Appy and got involved with local RC. Sister bought the cork board and it has now become a fixture:D All the rosettes have the horse and riders name and the event written on the back :)

Ours are in the boot/dog room off the kitchen, the wall are all cork tiles and they fill about 3 walls with sashes arranged diagonally (saves on decorating, we just hoover 'em off). We very rarely show or jump now, so unless we start with lead rein ponies when the next generation come up, that'll be the lot. Trophies are on the plate shelf/dado thingy. :)

Mine are hung on the shelf in the sitting room for the current season & old ones are re-cycled to my sister-in -law who runs an after school club. I don't know what became of them but they didn't come back.

I've kept my special ones along with the trophies that i won with them but the others i use for shows we put on for the kids.
You can buy new centers off Ebay, give them a quick iron and you have beautiful rosettes that are won by kids that think they have just won the moon!!!

There have been some very generous H&H members that have donated to me their old rosettes that they have won over the years...some of them have been very special and pretty so i really appreciate them being donated.

If you have a bag or two of old rosettes that are shoved in the loft or gathering dust in your tack room then please think about donating them to a local riding school or putting them on Ebay so they can be reused :)

I started putting them all ona strip of strong material and when we had the last house, a stable was my tack room and they hung around, now we have moved and they are put in a drawer, I still have some of my "special" or "reseve" rosettes from when I about 7 years old!! Nostalgia, I had horrible sluggish ponies so they were the only rosettes I ever won back then but they were soooooo treasured
