Rosettes.........what do you do with yours?

on my wall

ones from childhood are in a box which includes a highly cherished 3 tier red white and blue champion one when I won the gymkhana championship

have the name of the class, date and horse written on the back of each one - didn't have own horse so hired them from riding school.
Now my rosettes are hooked on the pictures in my lounge and dining room. Still write the class, date and horse on the back of them though - old habits die hard

when (or if

) I run out of space I shall keep the nicest ones up and put the others in a box.

all mine from childhood are in a carrier bag (rescued from depths of the garage ) and now stuffef down the side of the settee, did write date, class, horse etc on them.. ashleighs are all on her wall

Most of mine are on display in the barn but have got the most recent one up in the kitchen! Daughter keeps hers in her bedroom.

i have a very minimal amount of rosettes! I write the date and class on the back of them and stick them on the edges of my picture frames in my room

All my childhood one's were thrown away when my Mum moved

I have all of Axey's in a box in the wardrobe inc his sash for being supreme arabian champion, which at the time I said he would wear forever!
We were going to put them all up in the lorry as there's a nice cork board in there then I remembered I was 36 not 12......

At my old yard i had them plastered around the tack room as i was the only one that went out and did stuff ,the yard was owned by my parents friend and she let me have the yard as if it was my own when it came to things like that,i think she missed getting rosettes herself so was quite pleased when i used to add to the walls.I have them in my house, not sure where though!.Am getting a lorry soon so they'll go in the cab, make it look pretty! Have always wanted my own lorry and rosettes on show, will have to get cracking and enter some comps now my mares back to better health.

I have mine all framed.
I have them separated in to each horse.
I only have on show what I have won so far this year
Every single one is written on. I am so proud when my horses win something. It is a great memory/keepsake.
I don't have them hung up at the moment. Only because we intend to be moving soon.
When I get sorted again, I will give them space.

shoved into boxes... went through them the other day and they were all creased. Some mean a lot but I used to do a load of gymkanas when I was younger so thats what lots are.

My first one ever from a a county show lead rein class lol

I've kept everyone I have ever won. Most written on the back with the class, date and pony I won them with. Only the "nicer" championship winning ones are on display all the rest are stuff in the drawers in our bed. Only place for them really. My daughter keeps all hers she has won in a box in her wardrobe. don't think I will ever chuck them out.

Mine are all sitting in a box waiting for me to get around to hanging them in my new bedroom, or maybe I'll put them in my niece's room.

Did anyone else every get a rosette that was made from nylon ribbon instead of satin? I have a couple from the 80s, they're not very nice IMO.

When I first began making rosettes I experimented with all kinds of ribbon, nylon was one of the failures. Horrid feel to it.
However the 50m roll I bought did the Pony Club very well for several years for Paper Chases and Treasure Hunts. The woven satin is really good although it frays like mad. I used all kinds of fabric, velvet, lace, metallic.......great fun.

keep them up with trohies and sahes then get rid of them as i have nowhere to put them and they get spoilt in boxes took the last lot to a tack sale sad but what else can be done with them
