Hi saw you post on Benson21.From the sounds of it nothing is going to stop you with the horses, so until you can ride again how about a small shetland or Welsh sec a for driving, should keep you in the groove so to speak.

thank you for your kind thoughts- as much as i'd like the idea my condition is just too bad- i cannot sit up straight without being propped up,( i just"go!")i have only one working hand, 2 very arthritic shoulders, and only one sensible leg- soooooh, i go out in my motorised chair to talk to my beloved horses,or hubby brings them up to see me, a wretched life but its the only one i've got,bar wonderful memories of all the equestrian activities i've been part of throughout my life! thanks anyway-

if you do fancy having a go at driving contact your local disabled driving group, a very dear friend was grounded after a loony TB (not that all TB's are loony) tried to kill her & broke her back/pelvis/upper of both legs.
she now uses 2 sticks (chair for longer distances) & is aiming for the paralympics her horses take her sticks as a given & will even let her use them as a leaning post if needed.

thanks for that- all suggestions very greatfully received and i will give them some thought, but, my confidence is now zilch whereas at one time i'd ride anything, so it will be difficultespecially as i struggle with depression as well- load of ****e really!!

sounds the pits, but at least you are up beat, but still think a shetland or such will get you out and about even with someone helping you drive, have a friend with MS and he's started driving a welsh sec a, still needs someone with him but he goes like the clappers on a quiet road
