Yesterday - Just a Token (aka Potty) was a nightmare dressaging but amazing XC and just one down SJ, ended up 19th. Lotus Eater (Lottie) did a super dressage but judges not impressed, one down SJ and (at last) clear XC, ended up 10th.
Today, BB was ultra bad in the dressage (left the arena with a zero for that element) and 3 for submission (is that what it's called?) but still got 37.6. Then had a stop and one down + time faults in the SJ. Jumped all the difficult ones XC and for no good reason ran out at a skinny - finished 15th.
Rosie's pleased as all 3 were stepping up a level but she knows they could do better - it's been a long season though.
Also thrilled to bits to be one of 26 hopefuls for next year's junior european team, apparently means lots of training etc.
Also very thrilled to have been asked to ride a local trainer's point to pointers in the coming season so a fun few months ahead I think.

God I wish my bad days ended that well! They would count as good placings for me!

Well done her being longlisted too, that's fab.

Sounds pretty good to me!
Well done her, if BB goes well at intermediate in the spring they should have a good chance for junior team

I hope the horses get a bit of a rest but maybe not as that always seems to be when they get injured.
Looking forward to following her progress next year and of course all the way to 2012.I'm not kidding

well done her! Glad I din't give you false news! Is she going to the thingy at Gills this week?
Euros are in England next year so more people on the team¬

Don't know who the others are (apart from Madgirl's friend who came third at Weston Park) as I've only had a text and a brief telephone conversation since they came home on Friday - will tell more if/when I can.
Madgirl - I'm sure she will be going to the Gill Weston session if she can.
Carthorse - thanks for your optimism re 2012 but it's a long way off and there are A levels to consider ....
Bossanova - we all have fingers crossed BB is up to the job but he's only little (15.2) and not exactly bred for eventing but you never know and the extra training/support is bound to help.
All of you - thanx

So yes there should be 12 places next year for the juniors.

Apparently it was his best dressage ever until he exploded - naughty pony

- but she was pleased. They are really looking forward to having the extra help and support.
