Rossdales or Newmarket Equine Hospital? For yard visits.

I need to register my new horse with a vet, and get her vaccinations started. I am very lucky that both Rossdales and Newmarket Equine Hospital cover the area I am in. I have been previously registered with one practice, but I am considering changing for a couple of reasons.

Does anyone here use either practice for yard visits (not hospital referrals - I know both are excellent for that), and if so which practice do you use and why?

A lot of my yard use Rossdales and I only ever hear good things about them. In fact am considering transferring to them myself.

I use Ross dales in Hertfordshire and they are great really can't fault them they try to save you money where possible and have been so caring about my mare who came down with laminitis a few weeks ago, whenever I call the office staff always ask how she is doing I can't recommend them enough, I have been down to the hospital a few times and always had a positive experience.

We use NEH for everything and have done so for the past 13 years and can't really fault them, used Rossdales a couple of times before and they were definitely short of NEH's standards.

I use rossdales for everything, cant fault them they looked after my boy very well when he had surgery and subsequent home visits

Have used NEH for years back when they were Greenwood Ellis, my theory is why use a smaller practise when you have 2 of Europe's finest equine hospitals in the vicinity

I have used both .... I would now use NEH every time .... They are by far a better choice (IMO) and honest and trustworthy .... And their care and knowledge is unbeatable (IMO)

I couldn't agree more - and that is why I wouldn't consider a practice other than NEH or Rossdales.
