glad she has found a new home fingers crossed
also who ever said about a dobie:
i wouldnt bother with a dobe either as a guard dog! our one is more interested in the attention and sleeps through EVERYTHING and has to be tucked into bed with blankets! (hes indoor kept in a warm room too)
thanks everyone, and special thanks to hollybell for putting the word around so that Lyn found us! pics to follow, or new pics are on my fb pages for those that know me on there... the power of HHO, a real happy ending!
Fab news, will look forward to seeing picks, Kerelli you really did go above and beyond for this girl and offering her back up aswell (well done to you) , she is very lucky to have landed on your door step.
thanks everyone. had a 99% brilliant day today, she went for a lovely outing to the beach with Lyn and family but then got upset again on home visit and didn't want her lead put back on to come back here, so i went and 'rescued' her again, but we're getting there! she's a lovely girl really, but i think she has flashbacks to previous bad treatment, suddenly thinks she's going to be hurt again. she hasn't bitten or anything bad but she gets nervous and very worried. we're persevering... she's back here now and totally soppy and pathetic again!
The beach was a success, she liked our dogs and children and the journey, even tho Hunstanton isn't far from me.
We made the mistake of being so elated with her progress that we took her back home for a while to investigate and she really didn't like Hubby or I putting her lead on to go back to Kerrys.
We really don't want to rush her but at the same time, we don't want to cause her confusion.
She hasn't bitten anyone so that's fine. She's off for vaccinations etc at the vets tomorrow. Fingers crossed all will go well. She even has her own Facebook; Roxy Layla Kerry Ray
