Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good, reputable Rottweiler rescue centres/societies. Now that I have finished uni and will, at some point be moving out on my own - I will be needing my own dog, no house is complete without one :)
We have a family dog at the moment - a 5 year old rottie bitch who I adore - I have only ever had Rotties, and was totally responsible for all the training of our current dog, who is an absolute pleasure and has all her KC good citizenship medals. Hence my choice of this breed, i'm not some idiot just looking for a guard dog.
I think that a young adult rescue dog or bitch would be the best way to go for me, as I love the training and socialisation side of things - but im not sure that a young pup would fit in. And im also of the thought that if theres a dog out there who would be suitable for me who is in need of a home, i'd rather go along that route.
So if anyone has any experience with a good re homing society then please let me know! Oh, and im in east anglia, but would be happy to travel.
Thanks! - And a gratuitous picture of my lovely dog for your time :)

I have dealt and do any work I can for Rottweiler rescue trust. Speak to Shelly she is very helpfull and have Rotties in foster homes also. They have great contacts all over uk.

They do have a website can't put link in as on iPhone!!

Anyone interested we are doing a sponsored walk in Greenwich park next month! ;)

there is a couple of rotties at www.manytears.co.uk. do you have time for one? if you are going to be out at work all day and leaving the dog its not much of a life for the dog! and would you take it to the pub with you at night? apologies in advance if the thought is not for you.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It's not something that I'm planning on rushing into soon - I just want to do my research.
And yes, the thought is for me. Also, yes - I will have time for one. If I realise once everything falls into place that I wont, then I will not go ahead with it. This isn't something that I have decided to go into without any thought, and i certainly wouldn't adopt a dog into an unsuitable situation. Are you saying that no-one with a job should have dogs? I wont just be leaving it home alone all day, Also i'm not sure what the pub comment relates to??!!
